Dismantling & Felling

Dismantling & Felling

Dismantling is the method by which a tree is sectioned down by a climber for complete removal. When it is necessary for a tree to be removed it can be for any of the reasons outlined below:

1. The tree is diseased and needs to be removed to avoid other trees in immediate area being infected.

2. Health and Safety - if the tree is in a state of decay, has been irreparably storm damaged or is potentially of considerable risk to either public or private safety it will be considered for total removal by felling.

3. If the tree is in an area affected by planning applications or construction projects it may be considered for removal. Felling a large tree in a restricted area will normally require the tree to be climbed and dismantled in sections.

In any of the situations outlined above Heartwood Tree Surgeons Limited will follow all necessary Health and Safety legislation in order to ensure that the tree falls in a safe, controlled and calculated manner.
